hi, I’m Kare. “care”

So here you are…

While life has a way of making us feel stuck sometimes. Like a caterpillar looking up at the sky, it can be hard to imagine life from a different perspective.

Yet just as a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, I believe each of us has the capacity to grow, heal, and see ourselves in a new light.

Together, we’ll work toward understanding what’s been holding you back while creating the changes that matter most to you.

Let's find your inner wings ʚɞ

A Little about me

Thank you for dropping by. My name is Kare Moore, LCMHC, NCC, and I am a licensed psychotherapist.

I will gladly skip all the clinical language and educational background and get straight to the point! (Though it’s available below if you’d like to know more)

People often ask what kind of therapist I am... The simplest answer is that I’m naturally curious and deeply empathetic. While professional therapy will be taking place - I also want our conversations to feel like you’re sitting with that one trusted friend who just gets you. Someone who laughs with you during the good moments, sits with you through the hard ones, and helps you make sense of it all.

My sessions are very conversational and encourage deeper insight while creating a space where you feel seen, gently challenged, and supported.

For Those Who Enjoy Background Details

I became a licensed psychotherapist just before the world changed during the pandemic. Prior to that, I’ve had the privilege of working in inpatient hospitals, treatment centers, group practices, and private practice. Over the years, I’ve also worked with children as young as 4 years old through adults in their mid-60s, giving me the opportunity to support individuals through many different stages of life.

Rather than relying on one single approach, I draw from a variety of therapeutic perspectives based on the person sitting across from me. These include attachment-based therapy (understanding how a variety of relationships shape us), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) (changing unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and patterns), psychodynamic therapy (understanding how past experiences influence the present), and humanistic therapy (fostering personal growth, self-discovery and self-awareness; your situation doesn’t define you as a person).
